Palmetto Training Group | Accountability Under Pressure

Had my first range day on Wednesday with the @glockinc 17 Gen 6 COA. Put about 500 rounds through it so far. It is very early to say but, I have a strong feeling this is the one for me. #firearmtraining #glock #aimpoint #rangeday #pistolshooting

Your red dot doesn’t need to be perfectly still 🔴 See what you need to see in order to get an accurate, accountable hit. We pick confirmation levels based on 3 things: Target distance, target size, and your personal skill. #firearmstraining #reddot #trijicon #waltherarms #rangeday

Work Belt Overview: @dynamic_principles MB3 Belt @adaptivdefense ADS Mag Carriers @guardian_warrior_solutions Bum Bag All of these are mounted on @bladetechholsters Tek Mount Mini’s @blueforcegear ASP handcuff pouch @truenorthconceptsllc RHP Patrol w/ a @bladetechholsters Level 2 Valor for PDP Valor holster is sporting a @dynamicdesigns208 spacer. Big fan of this whole setup. I love the versatility as this belt, especially with the tek mounts, allows me to swap holsters, mag pouches, etc, permitting me to be able to use this belt both on duty and in competition.

Shooting While Moving A lot of people get worried about shooting while moving. The visual information can look crazy and unpredictable, leading to less accountable hits. Learn to separate what your eyes are seeing from what your legs are doing. Stay soft on your feet and let your lower body move independently from your upper body. When training movement, pay attention to what your sights are telling you. Stay target-focused while remaining aware of your sights. If you see the sights moving through an acceptable hit area, press the trigger, regardless of what your legs are doing. Movement can be trained dry and validated with live fire. The only way to get better is to train it. #rangeday #competitionshooting #firearmtraining #walther

Ran the @xray.alpha.llc bill drill rundown a couple times today as a cold start with the 5in Poly PDP First run was a 10.38 with a delta and 3 charlies. 😬 Second run was much better at a 9.86 with 1 charlie #walther #pdp #rangeday

Duty Gun Setup Walther PDP 4.5” @waltherarms Aimpoint ACRO P-2 @aimpointusa SureFire X300 Turbo @surefire_llc ZR Tactical Solutions guide rod & magazine extensions @zrtactical HandleIt Grips sandpaper grips @handleitgrips I’ve been really happy with this setup. Everything has been solid, reliable, and I genuinely enjoy running it. Ultimately, one thing I’ve learned from shooting and running different equipment is that most modern polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols are objectively very similar in what they’re capable of. There’s no shortage of great options out there. Find the one you like and train with it. #PalmettoTrainingGroup #WaltherPDP #aimpoint #SureFire #DutyGun

You don’t improve by avoiding mistakes. You improve by learning from them. #PalmettoTrainingGroup #AccountabilityUnderPressure #rangeday #competitionshooting #firearmeducation

I’ve been running the @bladetechholsters Valor with the PDP since the holster’s release, and it has become my favorite duty holster. Build quality is fantastic, the gun fit and retention are top notch, and the overall design is intuitive and functional. Paired with the Nub Mod from @otdefense and a holster spacer from @dynamicdesigns208 , it’s the perfect duty holster setup for me. And Blade-Tech’s QD system? The jam. Easy to use, rock solid, and it allows me to use the same belt for work, training, and competition while making it incredibly simple to switch between setups. Definitely one of the better duty holster options I’ve used. #dutyholster #holster #bladetech #lawenforcement #police
